Recently visited Candy’s Chicken in Winnipeg and was genuinely impressed by the quality of their fried chicken. The coating was crisp, the chicken itself stayed juicy, and it wasn’t greasy—one of the best fried chicken experiences I’ve had in the city. Their homemade fries and signature gravy stood out as the perfect sides, fresh and flavorful, rounding out every meal. The staff were welcoming and added a personal touch to the experience, making sure each customer felt valued. The atmosphere has a nostalgic, family-friendly vibe, making it a great spot to enjoy comfort food with friends or family. Portion sizes were generous, and though the prices are a little higher than some chains, the quality and friendly service made it more than worth it. I highly recommend Candy’s Chicken to anyone looking for delicious fried chicken and a warm local experience

Great place for a take out chicken meal. I’ve been here several times and the food is always great. Check out my menu pictures as the ones shown are out of date and the prices changed. Enjoy

Tonight my family and I finally tried Candy’s Chicken for the first time. It’s been on our list for a while — I’ve seen it come highly recommended on Reddit and in various local Facebook groups — and now I get why! We ordered the Dinner for 4, and honestly, the chicken is incredible — way better than that dude in the white suit. This is hands down the best chicken dinner in the city. The fries, gravy, and buns were all great too, and we added a container of coleslaw on the side — even that was miles ahead of the glow-in-the-dark stuff you get at “the other place.”
